POMONA LAKE — The Michigan Valley swimming beach at Pomona Lake reopened to the public Wednesday. Swimming beaches at the lake had been closed because of high lake levels from the recent spring storm. Pomona Lake ranger Bryan Phillips reminds you that when you hit the beach, you should slap on the sunscreen. He said if you’re not a strong swimmer, you should wear your lifejacket and not depend on inflatable items.
