WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department is working on a plan to staff the Wellsville fire station seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The Franklin County EMS maintains an ambulance at the Wellsville station as well. County commissioners Don Hay and David Hood, who oppose having an ambulance at Wellsville, had some sharp questions about the proposal for county administrator Lisa Johnson. She said that the station belongs to the fire department and they will use it as they see fit and she said she will continue working with the Wellsville department and Wellsville city officials on the proposal.
