LAWRENCE — It’s probably no surprise that users of Twitter, Facebook, Internet video chat and mobile phones have produced a sea change in the very nature of interpersonal communication. Kansas University researcher Nancy Baym has written the book “Personal Connections in the Digital Age” looking into changes caused by social networking. Baym called her book a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to understand what’s going on with new technologies and personal relationships. She said the next great debate is the affect of social networking sites on personal privacy.
