OTTAWA — Ottawa city commissioners agreed with the idea that good neighbors make good communities. They offered the city’s support Monday to a proposal by Ottawa Volunteer Center director Lisa Rivers and city management intern Casey Sharp for the new Good Neighbor program, which will maintain a registry that will match volunteers with elderly or disabled residents who need someone to shovel snow or pick up storm debris.
