WASHINGTON — Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the checks will be in the mail for those seniors trapped in the so-called doughnut hole in prescription drug coverage. Those checks weren’t going to start until June 15 but the mail schedule has been accelerated and the first of those checks will be mailed beginning Thursday to seniors who hit that drug gap.
