BALDWIN CITY — Democrat gubernatorial candidate Tom Holland will announce his pick for lieutenant governor today. He’ll make the announcement this morning at 9:30 in Overland Park and then at the secretary of state’s office in Topeka shortly before noon and this afternoon in Wichita. Holland, state senator from Baldwin City and the former state representative for northern Ottawa and Franklin County, will likely face U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback in the governor’s race. Holland is likely to win the Democratic nomination over Herbert West of Paola.
