KANSAS CITY — A Kansas City man who was a major supplier of methamphetamine to Ottawa-area drug users will get nearly 13 years in federal prison. U.S. Aattorney Lanny Welch said that Jose Jimenez-Alvarez, 46, pleaded guilty in U.S. Cistrict Court and admitted he supplied several customers in the Ottawa area. His street name was “Guero.” He was among 25 people convicted in the drug investigation Operation Press One. The ring smuggled meth to Kansas City from Mexico, Welch said.
