OTTAWA — A case in which a 12-year-old boy received a cut to his arm from a thrown knife has been referred to the county attorney’s office. Ottawa Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said the boy was treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital and treated and released. A 22-year-old Ottawa man threw the knife Friday afternoon at a home in the 800 block of South Hickory in what Weingartner described as a matter of horseplay.
