OTTAWA – A former newspaper ad salesman and teacher, Sheriff Craig Davis got into law enforcement almost through the backdoor. After serving as a volunteer reserve, he was invited to apply for an opening in the sheriff’s department and he’s been there for 33 years. Davis is retiring at the end of June.
