GARNETT — The metal got the pedal in Garnett. Mike Burns had the metal front removed from a building he owns on the south side of the Garnett square. The Anderson County Review reported the building has been getting a makeover. The building recently housed a Mexican restaurant. Previously, Burns had his own pharmacy in the building and it also housed Kingsolver Drugs and Graves Drugstore. The metal front was put on the building in 1974 to hide storm damage.
