OSAGE CITY–A former Osage City councilman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of receiving or distributing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. 26 year old Jason Croucher was indicted last week, and released from custody last Friday pending trial on the alleged crimes. No bond was set. The indictment alleges that Croucher committed the crimes in May and June 2009. Croucher was elected to the Osage City Council in April 2007 and resigned in July 2009. If convicted on all charges, he could face a maximum prison term of 50 years and a maximum fine of $750,000.
