OTTAWA — A Topeka man accused of hitting a Williamsburg man with a tire iron is free on $5,000 bond. Michael Runnells was charged with battery, burglary, misdemeanor theft and criminal damage to property in connection with the attack and with a burglary in Williamsburg. He was in court this morning. His next appearance is June 30.
