OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie City Council asked city officials to review a request by Paul Obermeier to replace a flood-damaged garage. The Osawatomie Journal reported that he wanted to replace a detached garage that was destroyed by the 2007 flood but city rules don’t allow detached garages in the area he lives. The council instructed the city planning commission to look at the situation and hold a public hearing on Overmeier’s request.
