BALDWIN–If you want to see a fireworks display in Baldwin—you’ll have to go elsewhere. The Baldwin City Recreation Commission decided for the second time in four years to not have a city-sponsored fireworks show. Steve Friend, Director of the Commission, says his fireworks organizer isn’t participating this year and will be out of town July 4. Still, the swimming pool will be free to swimmers from 12:30 to 4 on the Fourth. Also, the Recreation Commission is providing free hot dogs and music. Friend says he hopes there will be a fireworks show next year.
