GARDNER — Three teens and a 7-year-old girl were injured early Sunday morning in a head-on crash in Gardner. Gardner police said a SUV crossed the centerline of 175th Street near I-35 and hit a car with the teenagers and girl. The young girl and the 19-year-old driver were severely injured in the crash, police said. According to preliminary reports before the accident, traffic officers were looking for a driver who was reported driving north on the southbound lanes of I-35. Officers said the driver of the SUV wasn’t injured. Officers are investigating whether alcohol was involved.
