GARNETT — The city of Garnett has been give itself a make-over. City manager Joyce Martin said city streets, trees, the Garnett airport and restroom facilities at the football stadium all have been getting freshened up in the past few months. The city has been making improvements at the airport and building a new water line between the city and Cedar Valley Reservoir. A new restroom will be built at North Lake Park next to the football stadium in July. The city will also resurface some city streets. Martin told the Anderson County Review that the city has been using federal stimulus money, local sales and gasoline taxes to help pay for the make-over.
