OTTAWA — The second annual “Glorious Fourth” will be Sunday morning at 8 at City Park. Franklin County Historical Society’s Deb Barker said the event resembles an authentic Fourth of July celebration from the era of Territorial Kansas, including music and a reading of the Declaration of Independence by local celebrities. Barker will offer some memories of Independence Day in Peoria 155 years ago. A free pioneer breakfast of corn cakes and syrup will be served with coffee. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
