WILLIAMSBURG — Dragons, fairies, jesters, cooking trolls, assorted knaves with swords and bears. And all in Williamsburg this week. The Festival of the Dragon Tournament Days will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and noon-7 in Williamsburg. Festival organizer Mysteri David says the free festival will give visitors a taste of medieval days by performers who attend the Kansas City Renaissance Fair and other medieval festivals. One difference from other festivals – visitors will be welcome to take part in the jousting tournament and the winner will receive a golden dragon, David said. Proceeds will go to the Byron T. Bear Foundation to preserve bear habitats and protect American bears.
