OTTAWA — Ottawa Fire Chief Jeff Carner says a Lenexa company has received a permit to start blasting at the Neosho County Community College construction site in the 900 block of Logan Street. Pexco Company will start shortly after noon today and continue through next week, he said. The explosions shouldn’t be noticeable outside of the immediate vicinity.
