LAWRENCE — The Douglas County Sheriff’s office will conduct saturation traffic patrols Friday night. Extra deputies will be out Friday night 7 to 11. They’ll be watching for impaired driving, speeding, and seat belt use. This extra patrol is part of the Impaired Driving Deterrence Program, which is a partnership between the Douglas County Sheriff’s office and the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office.
