POMONA — A 24-year-old Tennessee man was injured late Sunday night when a deer ran in front of his car. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said Kenneth Stephens, Lenoir Cit, Tenn., was driving south in the 2800 block of Alabama Terrace south of omona when the deer ran in front of his car. Stephens swerved to avoid the deer and hit a tree, deputies said. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, but his condition wasn’t immediately known. A passenger, Richard Traver, 47, Kansas City, refused treatment at the scene.
