WICHITA — Congressmen Todd Tiahrt and Jerry Moran and Mound City accountant Tom Little told Republican voters why they should receive the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate on Monday night’s statewide television debate. Both Moran and Tiarht pressed their cases that they’re the most conservative candidate. Tiarht said Moran is soft on terrorism and immigration. Moran said Tiahrt is telling tales and he’s guilty of the things he accuses Moran of. They meet in another televised debate at noon today. The winner of the Republican nomination would be the heavy favorite to be picked as the next senator in November.
