GARNETT — Three Anderson County nurses recently returned from a trip to Haiti that they say probably had more affect on them than it had on the earthquake victims they went there to help. Susie Bubna, Colony; Rene´ Womelsdorf, Welda; and Tammy Serene-Kruse, Garnett; told the Anderson County Review that the devastation they saw will last for generations. They worked nine days at a relief center in Haiti’s largest city, Port au Prince, in May shortly after the earthquake occurred. They each saw 200 people a days. They described the situation in the city as chaos.
