OTTAWA — Ottawa police said someone walked into two houses and stole several items Monday. The thieves hit houses in the 800 block of South Oak Street and the 400 block of West First Street. Police remind you to lock your houses, especially at night. Walk-in burglaries have occurred in recent months in Ottawa. Franklin County Crime Stoppers says if you know something about these burglaries or any crime committed in franklin county, you should call crime stoppers at 1-888-311-TIPS. Callers can receive a reward and remain anonymous.
