OTTAWA — Benjamin Mastel, 30, Rantoul was right about the guys with guns. Mastel called emergency dispatch Monday morning in a panic reporting that he was trapped in an upper floor of a house in the 400 block of West Eighth Street in Ottawa because there were people with guns running around the first floor of the house. Ottawa police responded. They didn’t find any guys with guns. However, they said they found Mastel in possession of methamphetamine and drug parahernalia. Today Mastel is trapped – in the Franklin County jail.
