GARNETT — Katrina Kichler calls it “just another bump in the road,” but her family is asking for your help. Kichler, who is a 1999 graduate of Anderson County High School, was diagnosed last month with acute myeloid leukemia. Her mother Marti Dehn told the Anderson County Review that Kichler may have picked up the cancer as a result of a three-year battle against a super-staph infection. Kichler is responding well to chemo-therapy. Her mother said Kichler has insurance but it doesn’t cover all of her expenses. She has had complications including short-term blindness and skin boils, and the staph infection has returned. An account has been opened at Garnett State Savings Bank for donations to her medical expenses. There will also be fundraisers later.
