LAWRENCE — Two area high school seniors attended the recent Kansas University Dole Institute of Politics’ Youth Civic Leadership Institute. Students taking part included Osawatomie High School’s Daniel Dorsett and Baldwin High School’s Isaac Smith. Students learn about the American system of government and discuss issues that affect their schools and communities and work on solutions. They also visit the State Capitol and meet state leaders.
