OTTAWA — The Ottawa school board have accepted a budget option preferred by Supt. Dean Katt. Katt said that option offers a slight property tax increase of less than a mill by cutting the district’s capital outlay levy for equipment and building improvements and the bond and interest levy, and slightly increasing the school’s local option levy. The budget hearing will be 6:45 p.m. Aug. 9 at the district office.
