TOPEKA — A 44-year-old Carbondale woman was one of four people injured in a bizarre multi-vehicle pileup on I-470 in Topeka Friday afternoon. The Kansas Highway patrol said Chelsy Rckabaugh, 22, Topeka, was hauling a mattress and box springs in the back of a pickup when they flew out of the truck. Troopers said one vehicle hit the box springs, then another car hit that vehicle. Another vehicle hit another vehicle and a fifth vehicle piled into the crashup. Those taken to hospitals included Arlena Clements, Carbondale; Jessica Hollis, 20, Topeka; Tara Hollis, 14, Topeka; and Thomas Escalante, 63, Topeka.
