PAOLA — In Miami County, voters will decide whether to continue a county-wide quarter-cent sales tax for road and bridge repairs today. The sales tax was approved five years ago and must be approved for another five years. If extended by voters, the county will use the money for five major bridge projects. There is one commission primary. Republican incumbent Commissioner Lyle Wobker is being challenged by Danny Gallagher for the 5th District seat. The winner faces Democrat Joshua Furnish in November. The 5th district covers western and southwestern Miami County except the city of Osawatomie.
