LOUISBURG–If you have a garage sale, you probably know that most towns have laws prohibiting nailing a sign to a light pole or other public place. However, in Louisburg, the City Council has given unanimous approval to allow garage sale signs this Fall during the Citywide Garage Sale, and during the Citywide Clean-up in the Spring. The specific dates when you can put up signs in public places are from September 23 through October 7 and from April 21 through May 5, 2011.
