LANE–Today is the second day of the Lane Fair. Tonight is the parade and the Grand Marshall is Shirley and Fred Thomas. Fred Thomas passed away last October, and so Shirley will represent herself and her late husband. Fred was a well-known supporter of the Fair. Thomas was considered the number one cook during the Lane Fair for many years. People also remember him for his good sense of humor. Both Fred and Shirley worked many years with the Lane Fair Board. The Lane Fair wraps up tomorrow night with a concert by the Bill Duling Band.
