PRINCETON — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said a 29-year-old Osawatomie man was arrested in connection with a road-rage incident near Princeton Sunday morning in which shots were fired at a motorist. Pahco Maresh, 35, Ottawa; called 911 and reported a vehicle was following him and someone was shooting at his vehicle near John Brown Road and Nebraska Road, deputies said. Maresh wasn’t injured and his vehicle wasn’t hit by any bullets, said Undersheriff Steve Lunger. There was no immediate reason why the shooting occurred, he said. Neither motorists apparently knew one another and there was no apparent connection between the two, Lunger said. Matthew Jacobsen was arrested for suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle, suspicion of criminal use of a weapon and suspicion of aggravated assault. He was in the Franklin County jail this morning.
