WASHINGTON — Although the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as “Obamacare,” has become a political football and the subject of some state lawsuits, a national health expert said there are some good points about the law. Kathleen Stoll, director of health police for Families USA, a nation group seeking better health care for Americans, said the law will meet most of the goals that were intended for it. However, the phase-in through 2014 tends to confuse and turn-off people, she said. Stoll, who criss-crosses the country to explain the law to the public and to state health officials, said once many Americans hear about the provisions of the law, they support it. Stoll will talk about what’s in the law – and what’s not in the law – during Sunday morning’s Community Perspective at 8:04.
