OTTAWA — The newest members of the Ottawa High School Wall of Honor are Michael Shaughnessy, Morgan Williams and Ed Hettler. Wall of Honor coordinator Sharon Geiss said they’ll be honored at the high school on Sept. 23-24. This year’s ceremony will include an assembly in which all wall of honor members are invited, she said. The Wall honors those Ottawa graduates who have distinguished themselves. Michael Shaughnessy graduated in 1957. He’s the director of design and a founding partner of Shaughnessy, Bickel and Scott Architects in Kansas City, Mo. He has been a leader in solar engineering and designing solar heating systems in commercial buildings. William Edwin “Ed” Gettler graduated in 1974. Hettler has been in aerospace, and computer hardware and software engineering for Honeywell, Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin. He is the senior software integration manager at Lockheed Martin for NASA’s newest manned capsule called Orion. Williams graduated in 1957. He has spent nearly 50 years managing economic development organizations. He is a member of an investment group and is president of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council. He has received three state medals from Ukraine.
