OTTAWA–An Ottawa man held in connection with a stabbing death was in court yesterday. Brandon Ellsmore has a preliminary hearing set for September 10 at 9:30. Also, Judge Kevin Kimball granted a bond reduction request from $750,000 to $500,000. Ellsmore is charged along with John Balbirnie in the July 28 stabbing death of Paul Nicholson of Ottawa.
