GARNETT — Employees and customers were surprised by the sudden closing of a popular convenience store in Garnett last week. Employees told the Anderson County Review that EZ Start on U.S. 59 was padlocked when they arrived at work Wednesday. The paper said owner Charles LaFollette of Cleveland, Mo., has not been available for comment since the closing.
