LAWRENCE — Women voting? Balderdash! That’s the premise of a presentation by University of Kansas graduate Michèle Larue, who will return to perform the satirical “Someone Must Wash the Dishes: An Anti-Suffrage Monologue.” It’s a one-woman show based on a period satire written by suffragist Marie Jenney Howe. The performance is at 7:30 Thursday evening, Aug. 26, at Swarthout Recital Hall in Murphy Hall. Larue’s production celebrates the 90th anniversary of women’s suffrage and has been called by critics “wickedly witty and sidesplitting.” Her show is free and open to the public.
