RICHMOND–Richmond Mayor Mary Ann Platt resigned on August 10th. Kim Hupp, Richmond city clerk, stated a family medical problem was the reason for Platt’s sudden resignation. Platt confirmed with KOFO News that her husband’s medical condition was the reason for her move. Tim Haney, President of the Richmond City Council, has been appointed acting mayor.
