FORT LEAVENWORTH — A change of command ceremony for the Kansas National Guard’s 35th Infantry Division will be Saturday morning at 10 at the main parade field at Fort Leavenworth. Brigadier Gen. John Davoren will become commanding general of the 35th Infantry Division. He’ll take over from Major Gen. Wayne Pierson, who is retiring. Davoren will be promoted to major general. He was assistant Kansas assistant adjutant general. The 35th headquarters are in Leavenworth and is comprised of Army National Guard units from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Illinois.
