OTTAWA — The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and when it comes to Montana Road, the dirt is flying. County public works director Jim Haag said the preliminary earthwork is almost done and the contractor should begin paving soon. If the weather cooperates, the work will be done before Thanksgiving, Haag said. The state is paying most of the cost of paving Montana Road between Sand Creek Road and the new U.S. 59 interchange northeast of Ottawa.
