OTTAWA — The Ottawa Volunteer Center is looking for a few, good volunteers. More than 10 to be exact. More than 10 additional volunteers capable of heavy lifting are needed on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month from 1 to 4 to distribute fresh produce and other items as part of ECKAN’s mobile food pantry. The next distribution is Sept. 1st at the armory. To volunteer, call Kristina at ECKAN at 242-7450. The Ottawa Community Arts Council needs volunteers a couple of hours a week. The council needs volunteers at the Carnegie Cultural Center to work the gift shop, greet patrons, explain art exhibits, and more. Call Sue Dunlap at 242-8478.
