PAOLA — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment confirmed it is investigating a death at a Paola day care center. A KDHE spokeswoman said the agency received a complaint Thursday of an infant found unresponsive while it was napping. The KDHE didn’t identify the day-care center but says the day-care operator has surrendered her license.
