OTTAWA — A wide-open gap in the 200 block of South Main Street is about to get plugged. A deal is in the works for the old Feldkamp Furniture building, said Tom Weigand, president of Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce. Weigand said he can’t identify the business but said that an announcement will be made in about two months for at least the north side of the building. Despite the poor economy and unless they’re in poor shape, several retail buildings downtown will soon be filled, he said. However, there will remain a glut of open office space for some time, he said.
