PAOLA — The Miami County Cancer Foundation has moved into a new office at 907 N. Pearl in the Sutherland Shopping Center in Paola. The foundation had outgrown its office on Hospital Drive. The foundation was formed in February 2009 and was modeled after the Franklin County Cancer Foundation. The Osawatomie Journal reports that the Miami County group is returning the favor by helping start a Linn County Cancer Foundation. The group’s next fundraiser is a dance Sept. 18 at the Paola Eagles Lodge.
