GARDNER–Tragedy struck a Gardner elementary school yesterday. Kade Meyer, 7, was struck by a SUV shortly after 3:30 p.m. According to the Kansas City Star, Meyer was crossing two parked cars when he was hit by the SUV. The boy was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Gardner police are investigating the accident and have not released information on the driver of the SUV.
