OTTAWA — The Franklin County Caregivers group will offer a full-day seminar on Thursday. It’s the first time the group has offered a full-day and Phyllis Tillinghast, one of the organizers, said the group is excited with the experiment. The day begins at 9 with coffee and registration at Faith Lutheran Church, 1320 W. 15th, Ottawa. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Peg Sampson, outreach coordinator for Audio Reader, will explain the program, which provides free radios and readers for those with low vision or other disabilities. Caren Rugg, East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging, will talk about journaling. The guest speaker, Wichita nurse Julie Russell, executive director, Kansas Health Ethics, will discuss medical ethics. There will be a performance by the Hands of Glory for lunch.
