OTTAWA — Ottawa public works crews will begin collecting limbs beginning next Monday. A bunch of trees limbs were blown down by last Thursday’s storm. Public works director Andy Haney said that because of other projects that must be completed, city crews will make only one complete round of the city, and should be completed by Friday, Sept. 17. Haney said he wanted to wait before starting the cleanup to give property owners and residents a chance to pick up their yards. You should move limbs to the street as soon as possible, he said. To make collection easier, and to limit possible damage to yards, please stack the limbs parallel and close to the street curb. Don’t put your limbs in alleys, he said.
