POMONA — A Pomona construction company started repairs on a bridge on California Road south of pomona, and workers got a nasty surprise. While they were dredging the creek at the foot of one of the abutments, part of the abutment separated and pulled way. That required emergency repairs and that made it change-order time, county public works director Jim Haag. County commissioners approved the change order.
