TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Transportation will hold five local consultation meetings across the state in October. All meetings will be in the morning from 9 to noon but KDOT officials will be available in the afternoons. The closest meetings will be Oct. 8 at Independence’s Memorial Hall and Oct. 22 at the Kansas City National Guard armory, 100 S. 20th St.
